Announcing our residency at CoCA!

We are super excited to announce that we have entered into a partnership with local artist NKO and Seattle Underground Art Troupe “New Mystics” for a two month residency at the Equinox Building as part of a residency with Puget Sound’s the seminal arts organization: The Center of Contemporary Arts (CoCA).

The partnership will create Resistance: Art as Advocacy – a campaign focusing artistic expression to empower creative thinkers and visualists of all abilities on using their talents, resources and access to draw attention to outstanding issues in our community.

The group will be commissioning pieces from local artists to creating piece for partner organizations: Shout Your Abortion, I873 (Police Accountability), #BlackLivesMatter, and Seattle Rent Control.

Pieces will be mass produced via screen printing methods in the container, and distributed at Georgetown Art Attack celebrating 10 Years of the Equinox Building on December 10th from 6-9PM, as well as other direct distribution methods through partner organizations!

New Mystics/Fogland Studios will hosting a Fogland DrawingJam! at the event, encouraging all ages and abilities to come draw, doodle or sketch out of the residency space. These pieces will be processed and screen printed into Special Edition Fogbooks, and distributed via this website, as well as at the Georgetown Art Attack on January 14th!
